Roles:

Primary: To maintain accounting practices in the organization and provide support for the GAAP procedures to be followed by management and accounting personnel in order to maintain accuracy financial tracking, manage cash flow / cash position, check registers, timely, and accurate financial reporting on projects, and managing capitalization of equipment and fixed assets according to owner policy and discretion in accordance with GAAP.

Secondary: Responsible for oversight of all payroll, lien processes, physical assets and property, taxes, and regulatory compliance to ensure financial compliance of the company.

Tertiary: To support the Ownership, Administration, and Operations by providing financial information, reports, and analysis while reconciling bank and financials and guiding owners and management on financial oversight including a consistent focus on Cash Management.

Responsibilities:

1. Utilizes the computerized accounting system (Construction Partner) to track job costs, guide cash management, equipment utilization, equipment and track fixed assets capitalization and depreciation, distribute reports to relevant departments (Owners, project managers, estimators, etc.).

2. Creates, maintains, and audits all aspects of work processes and outcomes of accounts payable and accounts receivable using Construction Partner.

3. Oversees the general ledger functions for the business including assisting the Owners in managing company cash flow.

4. Prepares and reviews with management and ownership weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for company and ensures that all financial deadlines are met.

5. Prepares and delivers financial and accounting analysis that demonstrates job level project performance to enable timely interventions to prevent Profit Fade through proactive management.

6. With assistance from Accounts Payable, prepare quarterly fuel tax refund reports (IFTA – International Fuel Tax Agreement).

7. With assistance from Accounts Payable Prepares quarterly municipal mill tax reports for all city entities.

8. In conjunction with Payroll, prepares (reporting and audits)annual all prevailing wage offsets for those employees receiving company health benefits.

9. Collaborates with Estimating, HR, and Payroll to annually update prevailing wage rates in accounting and estimating systems

10. Coordinate the communication between Project Management, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable to manage customer and vendor lien releases.

11. Coordinates with Accounts Payable and Administrative support to tracks and report on equipment and fleet utilization, maintenance, and accounting.

12. Maintains business and other licensing requirements for the company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
