Airborne Solutions Operations at Leidos currently has an opening for an OCONUS Aviation Logistician. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience in advancing the Airborne Solutions' growing capability. In this role, the OCONUS Aviation Logistician will monitor updates to the bill of materials (BOM) for aircraft modifications, track requests for procurement from end-to-end, determine vendor’s stock, support daily stand-up meetings, track delivery of materials, and work within the Logistics Supply Chain to procure materials in support of aircraft and mission equipment maintenance.
Primary Responsibilities
Monitor all incoming and outgoing shipments
Troubleshoot, plan, and provide any assistance needed to expedite any urgent or AOG requests to provide the fastest possible transit.
Verify the contents of all shipments received, and update the Inventory management system with their status/report any discrepancies.
Consolidate, transfer, and manifest all items received for transit to warehouses in the AOR by the customer or commercial services
Prepare outbound shipments in accordance with all company policies or applicable regulations
Prepare/handle hazmat shipments in accordance with all applicable regulations
Travel to and work at OCONUS sites on a 60 day rotation cycle
Perform inventory cycle counts in accordance with company policy and schedule at secondary location
Assist with processing any procurement requests for additional materials, equipment, tooling or the service of any of those items current assigned to the location
Manage the status of all open procurement or service requests
Handle and correctly manage ITAR/EAR controlled items in accordance with all applicable regulations
Basic Qualifications and Education
High School Diploma required and five (5) years of prior relevant experience
Five (5) years of aircraft supply chain support for maintenance and/or modification
An understanding of the aviation industry and standard vendors with the ability to solve complex issues that may arise
Experience in meeting deadlines and schedules for the acquisition of materials/parts
Ability to attend and successfully complete a CONUS Replacement Course (CRC) within 90 days of hire.
DOD clearance is not required to start, but the candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a full DOD Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Active DOD Secret Clearance
Knowledge of Hazmat shipping
Knowledge of ITAR regulations and shipping
Familiarity with inventory management software
Experience with Rusada
Knowledge of Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) structure
Experience with aircraft parts procurement and supply chain
