Collections Coordinator
Mid Valley Health Services
The Collections Coordinator is responsible for tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues within a fast-paced, goal-oriented collections department. Additional responsibilities include interaction with insurance companies, preparing paperwork for audits and appeals, as well as accurately inputting and documenting all actions within the collections system.
Major Responsibilities:
· Provides and manages claims follow up with all payers to ensure rapid and appropriate payment
· Ensure invoices are submitted timely and accurately
· Works all aspects of claim including, but not limited to, submitting appeals
· Ensure compliance with a variety of regulatory agencies and payers
· Communicates with management and team members when noticing billing errors, payer changes and cash application errors
· Receive and respond to client/payer questions or complaints regarding billing or service
· Generating various financial reports for client management
· Cross training for and performing various other functions as required
· Works with Billing and Intake teams to resolve claim issues
· Other duties may be assigned
Education/Experience:
· High School diploma/ GED required
· Minimum 6 months experience in Home Infusion or Home Care
· Experience with conducting account research and analysis, resolving payer discrepancies and accountability for reducing delinquencies in assigned accounts

· Demonstrates effective communication skills
· Ability to work well with various personalities and within a team
