We are seeking a Credit Administrator to join our Credit Team. The role’s purpose is to support the Department by administering effective account creation and credit control services, while ensuring that payments are applied and processed accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Update customer information, verifying GPO validation and price qualifications and opening/closing accounts due to company mergers/acquisitions
- Validate customer credit applications using appropriate research tools to ensure customer accounts are established with effective controls
- Prepare documentation on accounts to support effective decision making on credit account limits
- Regularly update and analyze customer resale certificates to ensure current records.
- Process credit card transactions to ensure customers are able to make timely purchases.
- Authorize and settle credit card payments for pre-paying credit card customers.
- Charge payments received daily, sort payments and apply payments to accounts.
- Charge daily check authorizations and apply payments to accounts
- Process ACH and wire payments
- Process lockbox transactions using Microsoft Excel via file upload into data base.
- Update daily cash log
- Research payment disputes between bank totals and manual entries into database
- Research credit card charge backs
- Build customer relationships
Qualifications:
- GED or high school Equivalent
- 1-3 year’s A/R or credit experience
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
