Essential Functions

  • Work directly with the company employees across the organization to facilitate their on-going needs relating to safety
  • Assist in the management of safety systems at a companywide and local level
  • Act as an ambassador in fostering and maintaining good working relationships with client safety representatives
  • Facilitate client access for restricted, secured sites
  • Support the collection, reporting, and completion of key corrective and preventative actions arising from employee audits and hazard evaluations
  • Act as the company’s Designated Employee Representative in the corporate and client mandated Drug and Alcohol Program
  • Maintain OSHA recordkeeping requirements
  • Oversee the organization’s Personal Protective Equipment requirements and resources
  • Support the implementation of the companywide ergonomic program
  • Facilitate safety training on various subjects via web or in person
  • Participate in company and industry committees focused on employee and workplace safety
  • Work cooperatively with other corporate groups, such as Human Resources to guide and manage risk assessment programs
  • Support the Safety Department in the development and management of safety, environmental, security, and other regulatory and risk management policy and procedures
  • Strong administrative skills using Microsoft Office


  • Bachelor’s Degree safety/EHS or related field is preferred or 1+ years of experience in a safety related field.
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification or willingness to pursue – Desired
