The San Diego Strike Force is playing their current 2022 season and an active member in the community - continuously growing our leadership and reputation. We are seeking a creative and independent graphics designer to support brand messaging, visual and production needs of our content team.
Job Description
Sports fans know how exciting it is to attend a game live in the stadium or arena, but very few actually think of the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to make these games possible. That’s where games operations comes in. Games operations is a unique sports management specialty area in which professionals are hired to manage the happenings of a sporting event from the time doors open until the final buzzer sounds. Working in games operations means handling virtually every aspect of the game, including the music, videos, mascots, sponsorships, cheerleaders, parking, security, and special events. Across all sports, organizations will hire coordinators, managers, assistant directors, and directors in game operations to ensure games go off without a hitch.
Game operations includes planning, setting up for, and managing all game day events. You will be involved in creating operational publications, such as game day operations processes, emergency response plans, heat management plans, and visiting team guides. Will also be responsible for establishing game day budgets, managing parking passes, coordinating staffing needs, working with facility managers, training interns, volunteers, developing production/cue and call sheets, timing special events, directing music selection, and booking pre-game, half-time entertainment. In today’s digital world, game operations may include mobile app digital media social media updates and posts.
  • Must be able to create and adhere to internal and systemic processes such as preparing rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief and receiving approval before advancement
  • Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule; must be able to meet deadlines
  • Must be someone who has a flexible schedule and willing to regularly communicate via interpersonal, email and phone
  • Must attend all home games, watch all away games to track players; participate in select team events to represent the Strike Force brand, vision and values
  • Proficient with social media platforms and willing to post and share relevant content
  • Flexible to serve where needed to promote the team and support fan experiences

  • Proficient with using Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Pages and Keynote proficiency is preferred
  • Creating operational and interdepartmental processes that support the team's game day production and event elements
  • Proficient using Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs
  • Proficient with Canva
  • Extremely detailed oriented and ability to work as part of a team
