The Team

As an ambassador of Alight, you constantly strive to serve guests and reflect the values of the organization both inside and out.
We rely on the Guest Relations & Engagement Ambassador to provide answers and support to guests and community members, guide them from start to finish, show up confident, be ready to take on any conversation, and convey the enthusiasm and commitment we feel working at Alight every day.
The Role
You understand how to provide exceptional customer service, top-notch administrative support and communicate positively, big-heartedly, and effectively. You have an infectious enthusiasm for serving others and this isn’t your first time. You are constantly striving to improve the way we serve at Alight. You are eager to answer the phone every time in rings, to answer every email even if the answer sends folks elsewhere, and to follow up with solutions to make sure every guest leaves feeling satisfied.
Both when work is busy and slow, you are talented at managing expectations and your own time. You are personable, helpful and organized. You deliver your work generously and take ownership of everything that lands in your lap, recognizing your responsibility as the first voice of Alight.
Create a
Warm and Welcoming Experience
  • Consider each call an opportunity. Field phone inquiries with an energy for people, a generous spirit, and friendly voice.
  • Respond to emails promptly so supporters know they are being heard. Forward messages to staff when appropriate to continue the conversation.
  • Stay familiar with Alight’s work and manage resources to respond to any request.
  • Take responsibility to get questions answered. Follow through on requests from start to finish.

Connect
Guests to Opportunities
  • Listen closely and help match interest to opportunity. Understand when to take action yourself, and when to elevate.
  • Be an ambassador of Alight. Speak as needed to community groups who want to get involved. Provide support materials to groups or individuals who want to fundraise or collaborate.
  • Create a network of colleagues at Alight to manage requests for any region or country program.
  • Minimize wait times for Alight donors, volunteers and job seekers by handling small requests immediately in the moment. Track relevant details for team follow-up.

Other Duties as Assigned
  • Be ready and willing to jump in on other projects as assigned because every day is different.
  • Advocate on behalf of the voices and requests you receive daily. Constantly strive to create the best environment to Start With Giving, Find Others, and Do the Doable.
  • Be curious and open to new ways of working and share best practices and insights. Bring your passions and beliefs to contribute to work culture.

QUALIFICATIONS
