General Job Brief:
Leadership of the men's and women's track & field programs, including day-to-day operations, recruitment, practice planning, scheduling, academic accountability, intentional faith integration, assistant coach development, fundraising.
Duties, Tasks, Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a culture of faith, influence, relationships, excellence on the men's and women's track and field teams
- Recruitment and retention efforts to meet roster goals as set by the athletics department
- Lead a weekly team meeting focused on student-athlete development, Christian faith, or similar topics to enhance the student-athlete experience
- Organize team travel logistics and competition scheduling
- Actively participate in other university functions throughout the year
- Communicate in a timely manner with sports information, athletic training, strength and conditioning, eligibility, business operations and other athletics department units and membership associations
- Develop positive working relationships with other coaches on staff
- Lead the assistant coaching staff in a manner consistent with the mission of the University
- Manage track team inventory for equipment and apparel
- Manage the track operating budget to ensure good stewardship of resources
- Develop relationships with local area facilities to accommodate growing needs for increased roster and competitions
- Organize fundraising opportunities for track team enhancements
- Provide academic accountability in conjunction with other resources available on campus
- Attend all athletics staff meetings (and required University staff meetings)
- Organize regular service opportunities in the local community
- Provides spiritual guidance, prayer, and support for the team
- Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
Demonstrated success as a coach
Demonstrated connection to the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University
Working Conditions:
General Track & Field environment
Office hours to accomplish administrative tasks
Meeting with student-athletes regularly and travel to competition and recruitment as needed
Time Required:
Standard college Track & Field calendar for in-season and out-of-season
