We have an immediate full-time opening for an experienced HR Coordinator in our Tempe office. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with an entrepreneurial mindset, who are self-starting, high performing, collaborative, and compassionate.

The Human Resource Coordinator will perform the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing, administering pay, benefits, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This position will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping the company to plan and administer important functions such as onboarding, training and development, and performance management. The HR Coordinator also serves as contact for employees and answers questions regarding HR policies and procedures.

· Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

· Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.

· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

· Thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.

· Ability to balance friendly, service-oriented relationship with employees, while acting with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems.

· SHRM-CP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.


· Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to identify the skills and competencies required for openings.

· Assists in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation to management in support of business operations.

· Participates in developing and implementing HR objectives and systems, policies and procedures, including metrics, audits, and standard reports.

· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

· Provides support to employees in various HR related topics such as leave, compensation, benefits, and resolving issues and concerns.

· Facilitates a seamless onboarding process for all new employees, including background checks, employee orientations, explanation of benefits, explanation of company policies, practices, and procedures.

· Uses HR software to manage payroll and employee benefits, time tracking, and leave administration.

· Administers and monitors human resource programs including compensation, benefits, recognition, disciplinary matters, and performance reviews and improvement plans.

· Monitors employee morale and company culture, coordinates employee satisfaction surveys, and provides actionable insights to improve employee’s experience.

· Assists in the creation of new employee job descriptions and maintains current job descriptions.

· Maintains employee records and HR reporting, including the company’s organizational chart, company directory, current headcount, turnover, etc.

· Assists in the development, distribution, interpretation, and upkeep of the employee handbook.

· Processes complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assists in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,500.00 - $65,000.00 per year
