VIRTUAL POSITION

Part Time or Full Time Legal Associate

Salary – Dependent upon experience, starting at $100,000 per year, plus bonus for full time associates.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are an extremely busy virtual law firm, seeking an experienced associate to assist with client matters.

Very simply, we are not your typical law firm. We are looking for someone who wants flexibility and the ability to work from home, while practicing in matters related to online businesses.

We are open to considering individuals who are interested in part time and full time positions. To be eligible for the role, you must include, in your cover letter, whether you are applying for part time or full time work. If you are applying for part time work, please include the number of hours you are available each week. The individual will start as an independent contractor for a trial period and, upon successful completion of the trial, will be converted to an employee.

*Are a licensed attorney who is interested in working in a virtual law firm

*We prefer an attorney who is either licensed in Texas or California but would consider other applicants.

*Have experience handling trademark applications, TTAB proceedings, copyright registrations and licensing.

*Experience drafting and reviewing MSA, contractor agreements and other service-based contracts

*Experience drafting complex terms and conditions and privacy compliance is a plus.

THE ROLE

Draft and review contracts
Assist with preparing website terms, such as terms of use, privacy policies and disclaimers

Research proposed trademarks and write trademark research reports

Assist with/lead TTAB proceedings

Draft copyright registrations

Draft and review licensing agreements

Draft client communications

Provide attention to detail as you prepare documents and various correspondence as you lead specific projects
Assist attorneys with other projects as needed
Track billable hours (Yes, we’re different, but we still bill hourly for some projects)

TOOLS YOU WILL USE

Microsoft Office Suite, Dropbox, Lawcus, Skype/Zoom, Slack, Google Docs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed attorney with two or more years of experience. Must have reliable internet connection.

Must have attention to detail
