Legal Counsel

Amplio is a special education solution that combines a learning management system with built-in programs and evidence-based curricula designed to deliver intensive instruction that helps prepare students for success. Using AI-powered adaptive learning technology, Amplio automates data collection and analysis, provides immediate feedback, and supports both in-person and remote instruction to create a path for accelerated learning progress.

The Legal Counsel will act as an expert in legal matters, advising on a variety of commercial and corporate issues and providing guidance to global business leaders across the company. This is a remote position, reporting to the CFO & GC.

Responsibilities include:

• Review, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including SaaS, services, vendor, data processing, and employment.
• Provide day-to-day support and collaborate cross-functionally with sales, customer support, finance, HR, and R&D throughout the organization, in the United States, and in Israel.
• Manage the full life cycle of customer contracts, from origination through negotiation, close, and delivery.
• Manage corporate compliance
• Design and implement policies and processes to build and scale the legal function of a fast-moving startup.
• Support training and guidance to employees on legal issues, best practices, and company policies.
• Manage and work closely with external law firms.

• Licensed attorney;
• At least 5 years of experience, of which at least 3 years in-house in a global corporation, preferably a technology company with international presence (law firm experience an advantage);
• Experience working on a wide range of commercial agreements and legal aspects. Experience in SaaS, EdTech and/or privacy is a major advantage;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Independent, self-motivated with an ability to multi-task and deliver outstanding work product in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;
• Pragmatic, business-minded attitude and flexible.
