City Lending Inc, a direct mortgage lender headquartered in the DC metro area is seeking a Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) to join the team. In this position, the LOA will act as a liaison between the Loan Officer, borrowers and operational departments. The LOA mains responsibility is to ensure clear communication for a seamless closing transaction.
Essential Functions
- Assist in collecting missing documentation for completion of loan file from borrowers
- Work with the processor in collecting documentation to clear Loan Officer conditions
- Update Loan Officer on status of conditions and copy Loan Officer on correspondence and requests for documentation
- Prepare file for processing
- Perform office functions such as; taking phone calls, scheduling meetings for loan officer, faxing, making copies
- Provide overall backend support to the Loan Officer as needed
Required Experience
- Educational or working mortgage related experience preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Excellent phone and customer service skills
- Strong communication skills, listens and seeks clarification as necessary in order to understand and fulfill business objectives
Education
- Associates degree in related field preferred/equivalent combination of work experience
