Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Legal Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Managing Counsel – Transactions.

The primary responsibility of this role is contract drafting and negotiation to support the company’s Indirect Procurement Shared Services (IPSS) organization, as well as provide general transactional legal support for business projects.

What you’ll be doing

  • Draft and negotiate Procurement Agreements with service providers and product suppliers for Toyota’s North American entities, both on the side of financial services and more broadly on the manufacturing, sales, and engineering side.
  • Provide advice and counsel, draft and negotiate agreements in support of special projects and business ventures.


What you bring

  • Jurisprudence or Law Degree.
  • Admission to any U.S. state bar, in good standing, and able to obtain a license to practice law in Texas.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills: good detail orientation.
  • Advanced contract negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to navigate large complex business units.


Added bonus if you have

  • Experience with procurement and commercial contracts/transactions valued at more than $1 million.
