Provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees through proper maintenance of equipment and facilities and elimination of health hazards to prevent work stoppage and time loss due to accidents, while ensuring adherence to all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations, standards, and policies.
Provide an effective management process to ensure safe work behavior by employees.
Effectively manage associates, encouraging a continuous improvement of individual performance while maintaining the operating philosophy of the plant. Comply with all employment policies and procedures.
Oversee shift operations through effective coaching and development of Production Supervisor and Leads for that shift including appropriate use of the performance management process.
Lead and manage product processing operations. Implement the use of Lean Manufacturing tools and systems that improve consistency, reduce cycle time, lower total production costs, and eliminate waste.
Lead and manage packaging operations. Develop processes and systems that improve packaging line performance in speed, uptime, appearance, safety, and total cost.
Ensure all output from product processing and packaging meets or exceeds quality requirements for product specification, appearance, weight, markings, etc.
Implement a “Total Quality” approach to both product processing and packaging operations. Improve reliability and consistency while eliminating waste of materials, time, and effort. Implement proper measurement systems.
Cultivate strong, productive work relationships and actively participate with other members of the Plant Leadership Team to strengthen the overall effectiveness of the Plant Manufacturing Operation.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree with operations leadership experience in a manufacturing facility.
