Salary: $50K to $65K + O.T. + bonus=up to $87K D.O.E.
Description: Our client, an International USDA Meat Processing company, is currently seeking a Production Supervisors for their Cut Floor department for their 1st Shift.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

    • Provide leadership and operational direction to a group of 35 to 40 hourly and salaried manufacturing associates.
    • Oversee product according to established production schedule.
    • Ensure that all processing activities are in conformance with product specifications.
    • Balance quality, productivity, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to continuously improve in all areas.
    • Adjust manning at ‘tables’ to accommodate different products, ensure that proper product is being produced according to schedule and consistently monitor process to ensure that quality and yield standards are met.
    • Conduct inspections, constantly monitor all work areas for cleanliness and ensure that product contamination is kept to a minimum.
    • Ensure effective employee relations.
    • Provide employee coaching and development.
    • Assure that all employees follow company policies, procedures and establish work instructions.
    • Oversee training/ cross training of assigned staff, appraise performance and initiates discipline process.
    • Accountable for ensuring that all health and safety policies and regulations are enforced, by reporting policy infractions to HR and being involved with taking appropriate disciplinary actions. Perform accident investigations.
    • Verify labor hours and payroll report accuracy.
    • Other duties as assigned by Production Manager

    WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • 2+ years of production supervisory experience in a USDA regulated plant Meat processing facility 
    • Cut Floor experience required
    • Knowledge of meat processing industry, yields, and production processes.
    • General knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety regulations.
    • Experience working with a diverse group of people.
    • Bilingual in Spanish and English a big plus.
    • Good computer skills
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a daily basis.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
