The UCLA CAPS Psychiatry Fellowship Training Program is one-year part-time non-accredited psychiatry training program which provides specialized advanced training for psychiatrists in the evaluation and management of college mental health. The fellowship usually starts on August 1 and ends on July 31.
The incumbent supports the mission of UCLA Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) and the University in providing the highest quality mental health services for the wide range of students at UCLA. The incumbent provides medical services to clients including evaluations, medication management, emergency intervention; provides consultation to non-psychiatric staff; participates in meetings and committees; carries out necessary charting requirements; and accepts overall direction from the Fellowship Director.

Basic medical skills in diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric medical illness with an MD degree from an accredited medical school
Required
Minimum four years postgraduate training in general psychiatry and Board-Eligible in Psychiatry
Required
Skilled in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric illness.
Required
Excellent work habits; ability to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
Required
Strong attention to details and accuracy

Excellent organizational and self-management skills

Knowledge of Word, Windows, Excel, Outlook Email and general PC applications
