UW Medical Center – Northwesthas an outstanding opportunity for a
per diem (0% FTE, variable hours per week), day shift REGISTERED NURSEto join our Breast Surgery Clinic. The Registered Nurse will work in partnership with 3 Breast Surgeons and 1 Advanced Practice Practitioner. The Registered Nurse will support patients requiring surgical intervention, including patients with breast cancer and patients with benign breast issues. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced practice that always puts their patients first.

SCHEDULE
Per diem schedule. 8 hour shifts, Monday – Friday. Our clinic is closed on nights, weekends, and holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As an RN, you will:

  • Provide care across the pre- and post-surgical continuum
  • Regularly perform wound care, complex dressing changes, drain pulls, suture removals, and skin graft bolster takedowns
  • Assist our providers with minor procedures, including excisions, wound debridement, and tissue expansions
  • Act as the primary responder to patient phone calls and messages requiring triage

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years of current or recent nursing experience with surgical patients
  • An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington

    DESIRED

  • Previous work experience in breast or reconstructive surgery
  • BSN or MSN
  • Previous experience with Epic EMR Software
