Hudson Crop’s Underwriter I, II, III

Responsibilities*:

  • Promote, develop, train and enhance Hudson Crop’s agent focused culture.

Agent Support:

  • Responsible for agent success, business retention and business growth through:
  • agent relationship development
  • delivery of timely and accurate underwriting results
  • agent training as needed
  • partnership with regional managers on tactical and strategic ideas on how to better customers

Training:

Conduct one-on-one and group training for both internal staff and agents on the following areas:

  • Underwriting training
  • System – current functionality and ongoing changes
  • policy processing modules, mapping and quoting

*
Underwriting: *

  • Responsible for timely and accurate underwriting of own book of business as well as team members book of business.
  • Clear suspensions
  • Process written agreements
  • Determine H/R ground & Sub county codes
  • Assis with CLU entry
  • Map based ARs, Map Based schedules, Planting Acres through Mapping
  • Process policy revisions
  • Monitor conservation compliance
  • Order and track inspections as applicable
  • Verify NP and BRF status
  • UAT Testing for Processing system Tickets
  • Key Pre-prints for new transfer business
  • Verify all Transfer history from hard copy records
  • Process Transfers of Indemnity
  • Process Assignment of Indemnity
  • Process policies on ITS
  • Key Aps, A/R & P/R for non-processing agents
  • Batch forms as needed
  • Agent training as needed
  • Cross department duties as assigned

System and Technologies:

  • Participate in User Acceptance Test of eHarvest processing system
  • Ownership of system changes for training and support purposes
  • Contribute with ideas, solutions and processes to better Hudson Crop’s processing system
