Retail Host

Scope of Job:

To provide high quality, courteous, efficient and helpful service to the public at all times. To ensure maximum sales are generated, cash is accurately managed and cleanliness and merchandising are maximized.

Key Objectives:

To provide high levels of customer service to all guests in line with Merlin Standards.
To have up to date product knowledge of the attraction to assist guests.
To actively promote the attraction and deliver interaction with guests in line with Brand guidelines.

Main Responsibilities:

Retail Hosts must have a strong knowledge of the Merlin attractions and the related merchandise products.
Retail Hosts operate the POS (Point-of-Sale) register system to process both credit and cash transactions.
Retail Hosts process new inventory and continually restock the sales floor.
Ensure all transactions are processed accurately considering rates, promotions, vouchers, discounts, etc.
To ensure that all voucher redemption are recorded and reconciled on a daily basis.
Ensure the highest standards of accurate and efficient cash handling procedures, check floats, monitoring staff and customers during transactions
To follow opening and closing procedures as detailed in the department’s operating plan.
To greet all visitors with eye contact, a smile and a verbal greeting on every transaction.
To issue a receipt and a passing pleasantry on every transaction.
