The Senior Assistant Director, IT & Business Operations for the department of Undergraduate Admission (UA), will play a key role in the design, development, and deployment of software applications and business processes to support the admission, recruitment, and enrollment management efforts of the university. The Analyst will also play an important role in developing and maintaining the Undergraduate Admission component of the campus Student Information System. He/She will represent UCLA on UC's Undergraduate Admission System Workgroup and will act as a Department Security Administrator (DSA) for the office.

In addition to system focused responsibilities, the Sr. Assistant Director, IT & Business Operations will participate directly in the admission process, including the review of applications.

1. Demonstrated skill in eliciting and developing business requirements, specifying and designing inputs and outputs, producing system and programming specifications and requirements and recommending modifications to existing programs and processes. Ability to overcome obstacles and to meet deadlines.

2. Demonstrated experience in designing user interfaces and applications.

3. Demonstrated analytical, project management, and business analysis skills. Ability to analyze operational and organizational systems; define the problem or objective; identify relevant concerns or factors or problems; formulate logical and objective conclusions.
