This position is located at the Ontario International Airport in Ontario, California. 


The Site Manager position is responsible for the daily oversight and direction of hourly employee teams to ensure operational excellence.   This primarily includes personnel scheduling, work order and productivity plans, material availability, and the handling and resolution of employee issues. 

Job Resposibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the site including safety, accounting, human resources, purchasing, and warehouse functions.
  • Responsible for the performance/execution of all maintenance activities.
  • Ensure financial profitability of the project.
  • Responsible for the timely scheduling and completion of all Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance.
  • Verify that work is being done as per the required guidelines, safely within the given deadline.
  • Interact daily with employee team members to provide support and on-the-job training.
  • Oversees all operational functions and insures compliance with JBT performance requirements, contractual agreements, JBT policies and procedures, OSHA, Labor Standards, and any other requirements necessary within the operational scope.
  • Strive to improve management, employee, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop processes and documentation to support operational activities.
  • Strive to improve efficiency, profitability, and safety of the operation.
  • Manage and exceed customer expectations.

  • Maintain budgets and financial reports.

  • Provide leadership in overseeing operational performance.
  • Comply with company safety program and trainings.
  • Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.


The primary work environment is similar to an office environment.  However, the Site Manager must have the ability to conduct business in outside weather conditions, near moving machinery parts; on an active Airport ramp; near vehicles and jet aircraft.


While performing the duties of Site Manager, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.  Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircrafts and the confined areas. Specific vision abilities required by this job include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand / eye coordination is required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred .
  • 7+ years of related experience preferred.
  • 5 years’ airport maintenance experience considered a plus.
  • Experience in management, operations, administration, finance, and electrical maintenance preferred.
  • Familiarity with aviation, airport and airline operations, and maintenance services desired.
  • Strong leadership, team building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse the financial performance of the business.
  • Knowledge of profit and loss or earning statements.
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills with ability to face challenges, solve problems and motivate the team.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to perform administrative, human resources, and financial duties as required.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Computer skills with knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, project management, and understanding/knowledge of CMMS.
  • Ability to be badged to work in the secure areas of an airport.
  • Ability to be on-call and work occasional evenings and weekends.
