Duties:

Our IT organization is supporting the replacement of a large piece of software. As part of that effort, we need to update any applications that receive information from the current system to ensure that they continue to operate after the new system goes live at the end of 2022. Each application that will be updated may have different specific needs, but typical changes required would include:

Updates to database structure (e.g., extending field lengths, changing data types, adding/removing columns)

Updates to the .Net applications and/or views (e.g., modifying datab retrieval code, changes to display of data, etc.)

Data migration (e.g., using mapping documentation to update any historic data stored in the application database to match new formats/values)

Testing of applications to ensure that changes don’t negatively impact usage or performance.

There are numerous applications that need to be investigated and updated so it will be imperative that this individual understands how to pull applications from Git and get them running locally. The individual will also need to be able to search through the code/databases/applications to look for usages of impacted fields so that they can be updated.
