Software Engineer in Test (Mobile Testing)

What does your team do/what are you trying to accomplish for Fidelity overall?

Apart of a test team and is responsible for quality end to end. They build automation framework, tools, and testing scripts to test the project. They also work with developers on unit testing. They also support releases and support software release for dev ops perspective.

They will be working with the Spire App which is targeting for youth customers. The team is building the features in it. The feature is a huge effort. They will be working alongside the Spire Team

Spire just by default is exciting for Fidelity because the average age at Fidelity is 50 before last year and now it is 35. We are targeting ages 16-35. Spire is tackling early end of that: how do we educate young people in high school and college about finance and how do we help them so when they step out in the world they are already ahead of their peers. – It is very young, and it is very experimental. They are the first ones to try this within Fidelity.

If a candidate wants to be in a space where there is outside thinking, and they are targeting young consumers.

Cutting edge for Fidelity – Spire will adopt new technology much quicker. It is written in Swift where most things are in C.
Someone who is self sufficient and knows the technology. There will be assistance, but they don’t want someone that they have to hand hold. He needs someone to be able to hit the ground running
Need a problem solver and someone with the ability to work with the team of developers.

Experience in both iOS and Android.
What education or certifications does this role require?
College degrees need at least a bachelors

The Expertise You Have
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience with architecting automation test platforms
Minimum 2 years of experience with architecting and optimizing development pipelines (CI / CD)
Hands-on experience with mobile development and testing is a must (XCUI for iOS and Espresso for Android)
Strong demonstrated experience in delivering software in an Agile environment
Demonstrated expertise with cloud-based testing solutions a PLUS
