The Autonomous Systems Operating Unit (ASOU) located in Sierra Vista, Arizona is part of Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems Sector, Logistics & Modernization Division. ASOU provides total life-cycle logistics, deployed systems operations, training development/training, contractor logistics support and modernization for autonomous capabilities around the globe. We are hiring a Sr Principal Project Management position, supporting our RQ-4 portfolio as a proposal lead.Responsibilities:
This position is based in Sierra Vista, AZ. The preferred candidate will work on site. Remote work may be considered
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of new and ongoing projects and serves as liaison between planning, program management, IPT leads, pricing, contracts, global supply chain and business management
Leads or supports proposal efforts at the operational unit level; gathering appropriate resources and personnel and assigning tasks
Ensures proposal schedule milestones are met. Gathers basis of estimate, cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals to meet request for proposal (RFP) specifications
Compiles and analyzes historical data and estimate build up to support proposal efforts
May participate as a member of the contract negotiating team
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and objectives
Develops mechanisms for monitoring progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, program managers, and functional support. Interfaces with internal and external customers
Supports new business pursuits by working with business development, capture and program management teams to develop winning strategies
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings
Basic Qualifications:
Must either have 15 years of experience with a bachelors degree, or 13 years of experience with a masters degree, or additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree
Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations
Experience with DoD proposals
Experience with creating and maintaining schedules
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional experience working in supply chain administration, contracts management, proposal management/support, contracts administration, program management and/or business management
Work experience in government contracting and requirements (contractual clauses, terms and conditions, EVMS, price/cost evaluations, teaming agreements, etc.)
Experience with SAP
Experience with FMS and direct commercial proposals and contracts
Secret clearance or ability to obtain a clearance
Salary Range: $111,400 USD - $167,000 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
