We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our growing team here at Indeed.

Who You Are
- BS in Computer Science or related area, or relevant work experience and proven success working in an individual contributor leadership role for top tech companies
- 6+ years of experience managing large-scale software development and a strong ability to coach developers, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers
- Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms and excellent programming skills
- An understanding of the value derived from shipping code rapidly to production and learning/iterating on the results
- A deep understanding of the web and strong knowledge of databases, both SQL and NoSQL
- Experience with service-oriented and event-driven system architectures and building high-performance distributed systems

Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
