Primary Responsibility / Summary

Stages materials to facilitate restocking of Commissary store shelves with product. Time is spent as 25% stager and 75% stocker. Goodwill Southern California greatly values our employees’ health and well-being. Per company Policy, all our employees are required to be fully vaccinated for Covid 19.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Locates and moves materials and product between work areas of the Commissary to expedite stocking of goods, according to predetermined schedules and and priorities, and keep related records.
2. Stocks and cleans store shelves; keeps aisles clear of boxes and stocking residue.
3. Assists in keeping store stock available and stocks products in correct shelf locations.
4. Properly rotates product, being alert to expiration dates.
5. Interacts cooperatively with Government Commissary personnel and customers.
6. Immediately advises supervisor when Government staff directs changes in contract requirements.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
1. Performs other Commissary related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education & Experience

  • No prior experience or training.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Will be required to stock Chills and frozen.
English Language Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos .Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

  • No skills needed.

  • Shift flexibility and overtime when needed.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Punctual and dependable attendance.
  • Free from alcohol and drug abuse.
