Structural Draftsperson

We are an award-winning design/build company specializing in residential decks, porches, sunrooms, and additions. We are looking for a part-time, permanent position for a skilled draftsperson with experience structuring residential building projects. You must live in eastern Massachusetts. Our Process is Simple

• We will give you residential deck and porch designs as CAD drawings
• Including suggested structure with project specifications – often with 3-D renderings
• With this information you will create the structural plans that will include framing, roof and beam plans with load calculations and elevation views as required
• Our carpenters will build from your plans
• We provide our standard construction details, a library of example drawings to help, and CAD software
• We will provide initial training to ensure your success!

This is an ideal job for a professional who wants to augment their income. You will need to come into our Burlington, MA office during initial training, but after that you can work from home at your own pace within project deadlines. After your initial training in our office our Production Manager will be available to answer questions. Position Requirements

• Solid understanding of structural loads and wood construction
• Good math skills
• Experience with CAD
• Expected workload will be about 20-30 hours per month
• Reliable with the ability to work independently to produce professional drawings in a timely manner!
