WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
While under direct supervision of the designated supervisor, performs routine duties for the protection, care, and supervision of adolescents. Administer assessment instruments and assist in the development of training programs for persons with mental health disabilities, with the goal of achieving maximum independence. This beginning level technician focuses on assisting in training programs that centers on basic living skills, independent living skills, vocational skills, and academic skills, utilizing AWARE’s Wraparound philosophy.

- We ensure people with mental health and/or developmental disabilities live in a home of their choice and provide the day-to-day support they need.
- We help adults with disabilities find fulfilling employment, either through an AWARE program or in the community.
- We support children ages 0-8 and their families through a number of early childhood programs in Billings, Bozeman, Butte and Helena.
- We ensure adults and children live successfully in their communities, providing home visits, help in school, assistance with services, psychiatric assessment, and outpatient counseling.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:
- Ability to, under AWARE’s Unconditional Care Philosophy, implement individual support plans with the knowledge of behavioral techniques, interventions, skill building techniques, and understanding of the emotional and behavioral needs of individuals diagnosed a developmental disability.
- Requires computer literacy skills, including the ability to navigate, record, and overall basic computer skills needed for performance-based software as well as an electronic medical records system.
- The TST must have the interpersonal oral and written communications skills to work as a team member, to make observations and to report them accurately, to learn resident care methods, and to follow oral and written instructions.
- A High School Diploma or HSE is required, along with past employment experience.
