Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. One year of advanced clerical experience in processing personnel documents and providing information on personnel procedures is required. College education may substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis.

This paraprofessional position involves a combination of administrative and receptionist duties for all divisions of the Human Resources Department along with the Director's Officer. The position is responsible for providing assistance to the Supervisor of the New Hire Center. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Identifying and capturing fingerprints for national criminal history Level 2 background checks for all prospective employees, contractors, volunteers, interns and other County employees; processing fingerprints as per County Ordinance/State Statute through the FDLE via Fingerprint Live Scan devices; capturing and processing fingerprints at satellite locations as needed; maintaining and securing the Immigration and Naturalization (I-9) files; preparing and dating files for random audits by federal officials; and processing photo identification cards for new hires, County employees, volunteers, interns and contractors as required.
