Workday Student Records and Academic Advising Consultant

We are currently seeking thought leaders in the Workday Student Records and Academic Advising space to deliver superior results to our clients. Consultants at this level will be expected to:


  • Lead Student Records and Academic Advising work stream driving towards decisions and recommending best practices related to functionality including, but not limited to: academic structure design, course catalog, schedule of classes, grading, transcripts, registration, program completion/confer credentials, record management, transfer articulation, repeat processing, academic advising and advisor eligibility

  • Identify strategies, risks, and options, recommend approaches and mitigations to meet client/functional requirements

  • Execute the day-to-day activities of Student Records and Academic Advising project for a variety of clients including process design, configuration, package implementation lifecycle support, conversion, testing, and project reviews

  • Work alongside the integration team and vendors to configure and test integrations between the Workday solution and the client’s selected providers

  • Become a Workday Student Records and Academic Advising expert with deep knowledge of current functionality, design concepts, touch points with Student Recruiting, Admissions, Student Financials, Financial Aid, and Human Resources

  • Mentor other consultants, actively share knowledge with others to grow our practice .

  • Support business development activities such as identification, proposal development, and other pursuit activities as neede d

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing ente rprise class student information solutions (i.e. , Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP, etc . )

  • Experience gathering requirements, designing, prototyping, testing and deploying solutions to meet customer requirements

  • Subject Matter Expertise in s tudent records and academic advising systems, regulations and processes, along with a solid understandin g of higher edu catio n student records and academic advising requirements across various types of institutions

  • Passion for exceptional customer service

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage customer expectations

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Travel averages 50%, with periods of up to 75%

  • Ability to work alone or with a team

  • Experience as an employee of a higher education institution in t he student records area a plus
